ABOUT US

The Mocksville Davie Home Builders Association became a reality in June of 1975. It was organized to better represent the homebuilding industry in Davie County. The original membership was comprised of 11 builders and 17 associate members.

One of its first goals was to establish a building code for Davie County. By working with the county commissioners and state representatives, Davie County adopted the North Carolina State Building Code in 1981. This insured the citizens of Davie County a quality-built home.

The first group of officers were Bill Ward- President, Gray Hendricks- Vice President, Bill Daniel- Secretary, and Kenneth Holt- Treasurer. The first Board of Directors were Danny Correll, Larry Huskey, Dewey Parks, Ben Childers, H. R. Hendrix, Jr., Tom Rice, Kenneth Lanier, Gray Hendricks, and Bill Ward, Jr.
